ACTIVE TRIAL

Are you interested in exploring a new weight loss medication and not currently using any weight loss treatments?

You may qualify if you:‍

  • Live in Massachusetts or Illinois
  • Have overweight or obesity (BMI ≥27 g/m2)
  • Have not  used weight loss medication in the last 6 months
  • 18 - 75 years old / any gender

Participants may also be eligible for compensation.

How trials work

Step 1: Sign up & Pre-screening

Fill out the form. Once submitted, you'll be added to the knownwell outreach list. If we are not recruiting for a trial, you will not receive any communication until a trial starts recruiting.

Get matched to a trial. When a trial is recruiting, you will receive a text with a series of questions to determine if you are a candidate. If you don't qualify, you'll stay on our outreach list for future trials.

Book a pre-screening call. If it’s determined you are a candidate for the enrolling trial, you’ll receive a link to book a pre-screening call with our team.

Complete the pre-screening call. The research team will meet with you for about one hour and ask you trial-specific questions. If you qualify, you'll move to Step 2.
What happens after testing? We'll review your results and let you know if you're eligible to join.
Step 2: In-Person Screening Visit

‍Complete an in-person screening visit. This visit may take up to 3 hours and may vary by study. Our research team will collect blood work, EKG's and other trial-required data. The information collected will be sent to be processed by the sponsor.

Enrollment optional. If you’re a good fit, you will have the option to enroll in the study.
Why might I not qualify? The study has specific requirements to keep the results accurate and reliable. Sometimes results show someone isn't a fit — that's normal and not a reflection on you.
Do I have to join if I'm eligible? No, joining is always your choice.
If I enroll, can I choose leave later? Yes, participants can leave the trial at any time, for any reason.
Step 3: Enrollment

Enrollment. If you choose to enroll in the study, we will schedule your first study visit.

Attend your visits. We'll work with you to schedule visits that fit the trial's timeline, and you'll get to know your knownwell care team throughout the study.
