Working previously as an ICU nurse, Magdalena realized that most life-threatening cardiovascular and metabolic conditions can be prevented through a healthy lifestyle. That realization became her passion as a nurse practitioner: talking with patients about how to prevent such situations, empowering them to make change and commit to a healthier way of living through small changes that lead to lasting effects. She focuses on creating an environment of trust and collaboration that keeps patients encouraged, motivated, and making continued progress. She finds treating obesity one of the most rewarding areas of her work, leading to visible results, and she enjoys getting to know her patients and creating a plan of care that's easy to follow.

Spending time outdoors with my husband, biking, hiking, and exploring nearby nature preserves, with trips to the Smoky Mountains always something to look forward to. I love conversations with my three young adult children, and I also enjoy reading, building puzzles, and playing Tetris.
