She was drawn to obesity medicine after working with underserved communities, where she saw how much chronic disease was tied to weight and how often people felt blamed instead of helped. Having faced her own challenges with weight, she’s passionate about creating a supportive, judgement-free space where patients feel truly heard and empowered in their health journey.

Christina is a board-certified obesity medicine and family medicine physician. After practicing family medicine for 15 years, Christina transitioned to a full-time obesity medicine practice in 2023. Christina is a member of the Advocacy Committee for both the Obesity Medicine Association and The Obesity Society. Christina believes advocacy is crucial in ensuring access to comprehensive treatment, eliminating bias and stigma, and raising public awareness about the pathophysiology of obesity.
