About Dr. Buchanan

For 15 years, Dr. Buchanan served as a faculty physician and associate professor of Family Medicine in a large, academic institution teaching medical students and running a busy family medicine clinic. In 2019, she obtained board certification in Obesity Medicine to better support her patients struggling with weight-related chronic health conditions, applying this expertise to her own patients, patients referred to her by other physicians, and patients within the bariatric center of the hospital system. Her journey then took her to an innovative weight management company where she served as Senior Medical Director, providing education to their care team and developing protocols that shaped the care model. She's now excited to take all she's learned during her various roles as a primary care physician in the clinic, an academician in the classroom, and as an executive in the board room to offer the highest level of compassionate, evidence-based care to our knownwell patients, guiding them to better health.
